Kinesiology

Kinesiology is a completely natural, non-invasive way to achieve optimum mental and physical well-being. It works on all systems of the body to help restore it to good health.

Kinesiology uses muscle response tests to detect any stresses or imbalances within the four areas of the body’s systems: Mental (emotions, stress, anxieties, fears); Chemical (nutrition, biochemical responses); Physical (hydration, structure); Energy (belief system, meridians). Kinesiology shows where the body needs balancing, in priority order, and shows the most effective treatments that will restore balance to the whole body.

It can also be used on babies, young children and pets by using a surrogate for testing.

Full Wheel Balance

The full wheel balance is a powerful way to address the body because all the major meridians are checked and balanced to remove any blockages ensuring that the life force flows unimpeded, and that the organs and muscles are receiving the maximum energy, blood supply, nutrients and lymph. Being fully balanced is a very powerful feeling and one that everyone should experience.

During a treatment muscles will be tested to assess different systems of your body and to find the causes of any imbalances found. Then nutrition, herbs or flower remedies will be brought into the circuit to see what will help your healing process and these will be incorporated into the balancing to significantly enhance their effect.

Food Sensitivity Testing

Everyone is unique when it comes to nutrition. One person’s meat really can be another’s poison. We all have different nutritional needs. Sensitivity to food can leave us feeling tired, bloated and can cause headaches, digestive disorders and weight issues.

Systematic Kinesiology uses 8 muscle circuits for food testing – each one representing part of the digestive system and also the brain. Any food tested against each of these muscles is being checked for its effect on that circuit and this is where any sensitivities will show up. It is usual to test the foods that comprise the main part of your diet – please ensure that these are available for the consultation. Nutritional coaching will be given as part of the session.

Hopi Ear Candles

Thermal Auricular Therapy (also known as Hopi Ear Candles) is a pleasant and non-invasive treatment of the ears, used to treat a variety of conditions.
Quite different from the conventional wax candles, a Hopi ear candle is actually a cotton tube, impregnated with beeswax, honey and therapeutic oils. It is painlessly inserted into the ear to draw out impurities, relieve pressure in the head and sinuses, and aid hearing problems.  It is also a safe and gentle treatment for children.

Hopi Ear Candling is not suitable for those with perforated eardrums, where grommets are in place or those who may have an allergic reaction to the ingredients.

During the treatment you lie down on your side and the ear candle is placed in the outer ear until it burns down slightly, it feels very comfortable and warm.  The treatment is then repeated on the other side, and is followed by a head massage.

Flower Remedies

Dr Bach believed that harmful emotions were the main cause of disease and he classified the various emotions into seven main categories. These seven categories were then divided further into 38 negative feelings. Each negative emotion is associated with a particular plant.

Our consultation will identify which of the remedies are most suitable for your particular situation. Where appropriate, a ersonalized combination will be provided at the end of the session.

Indian Head Massage

Indian head massage is based on the ayurvedic system of healing which has been practiced in India for over a thousand years. This practice provides Indian families with relaxation and healing on a daily basis, as well as playing a part in rituals such as weddings and births, not to mention everyday events like a trip to the barber.

How does it work?

The aim of Indian head massage is to release the stress that has accumulated in the tissues, muscles and joints of the head, face, neck and shoulders.

What does it involve?

The client, fully clothed, sits in a chair for the treatment. The therapist uses a range of different movements including application of deep kneading and compression movements over the neck, shoulder and scalp areas. In addition, the therapist will also gently stimulate and stroke pressure points on the face. The session will usually last from twenty to forty-five minutes, and most therapists like their clients to sit quietly for ten or twenty minutes once the massage has been completed.
